It's been an interesting 3 months for me, to say the least.
You probably wondered why I've been posting so many banners and links on my blog without updating you on my progress...
Well, I guess I was grasping at straws, and hoping that people would click on something out of curiosity while I was still neck-deep in my "mission" to make money without spending a dime.
The time has finally arrived!
I did all the legwork for you, and now anyone who wants to make money can achieve it by merely following the steps I provide in this blog entry (and it won't take you 3 months to achieve it!).
In order to simplify this for you even more, I'd like for you to have a text document open...
Save it as "Referral_Links.txt" while it's still blank so you can continue to save it as you update.
Since you'll be receiving a lot of emails from these various sites, I suggest you make a gmail account specifically for this endeavor.
Once you've gotten your gmail account set up, you should then create profiles on the following Social Networks:
* myspace.com
* tagged.com
* myyearbook.com
* friendster.com
* facebook.com
Here's a breakdown on the current registered users according to Wikipedia.com:
* Facebook 235,000,000
* Friendster 90,000,000
* MySpace 253,145,404
* myYearbook 5,100,000
* Tagged.com 70,000,000
These sites will be where you create your "reputation" in the world wide web.
Make friends with people from all over the world...don't limit yourself to just people in your country!
You don't speak a foreign language?
So?
Most of these sites allow "tagging", which basically means you can grab a picture comment html code and paste it in their comment section.
I communicate with people from Thailand, Taiwan, India, Finland, Argentina, etc. with pictures of flowers, or animals, or even landscapes and sunsets.
Plus, there's always Google Translate...just in case they send you something in their own language:
http://translate.google.com/translate_t?hl=en#
So, browse for friends...send requests, accept them all!
When your comments are seen by their friends, you'll eventually receive friend requests from all types of people!
There are games you can play on Tagged, and myyearbook.
On Tagged, the game is called "Meet Me".
What you do is choose a region, age, and either male, female, or both male and female...then click "update".
Photos of people will be displayed, and you click No or Yes if you'd like for them to know you want to meet them.
(word of caution... don't choose "both" unless you happen to be gay - I'm not, and I've been "hit on" by some of the men I said "yes" to)
In myyearbook, the game is called "Match".
It's basically the same principle as "Meet Me", so just follow the previous steps.
OK!
Now you've got the ball rolling with your reputation...
By the way, I should say that you need to be yourself.
Don't pretend to be someone you're not.
There are plenty of people who will accept you for who you are, and if you happen to be totally different than me, then you will attract people who denied my requests.
Now it's time to fill up that text document.
It all begins with a visit to another Social site.
The site is called Yuwie.
Here's my referral link:
http://www.bestsocialsite.com/r/53854/
There is also a video you can watch that explains what Yuwie is all about:

This site is just as much fun as myspace, and the atmosphere is much more family friendly than tagged.
Once you sign up for Yuwie, go to the "Control Panel", and on the left-hand side you'll see a list.
The first thing you need to do is click "Account Settings".
In the "Account Settings", you'll see two very important settings that you need to fill out.
The first one is "Payment Options" - you need to tell Yuwie where you want your money to go.
The second one is "Tax Information" - the income has to be legit, so fill out the form.
Now that you've got that done, click "Control Panel" again, and you'll see at the bottom of that list a sentence in red letters that says; "Or click here to create trackable referral links".
Click that, and then click Generator.
You're going to want to make three Image Links, and three Link Only links.
Each of those links will have different landing pages:
Link1 - My Profile
Link 2 - Sign Up Page
Link 3 - Intro Video
Make sure the domain name is always BestSocialSite.com
(other social networks have banned the use of the words yuwie.com, and your links will fail)
Remember to copy and paste those codes in your text document (be sure to give a description of each of them so you won't get confused)
* By the way - it's very important that you un-check word wrap on your text document. Go to "Format", and be sure it's un-checked...otherwise the code will be separated into two or three sentences, and won't work.
Now to yet another paying social site:
This site is called Platinum Lounge.
Here's my referral link:
http://www.platinumlounge.com/user/register?referrer=robconn
When you join, your referral link will be right on your main page.
Copy it, and put it in your text document.
Platinum Lounge format takes a while to get used to, but for now you just want to join, and have people join under you.
The next site is going to be a new social site that promises to be everything that every other site is, and then some.
This site is in pre-launch, and is offering free shares of stocks for anyone who joins before it goes live.
Imagine if you had this opportunity before myspace went live!
Once you join, you get a "Recommend Link" to share with people so they can join under you.
Anyone who joins under you also gets shares of stocks, and you get MORE shares for recommending them.
Here's my recommend link:
http://www.me2everyone.com/9583
Once you sign up, you'll see an option on the main page that says "Recommend".
Click on it, and you'll get your recommend link... copy and paste it to your text document.
Now to start promoting...
There's a chatroom widget you can get to put in your "About Me" box on myspace, and your "Add a widget" on Tagged.
You need to create an account on http://chatango.com/ , then click Start a new group.
Make your chatroom about 500 width, and 600 length.
Give it a unique title, and put it in those two places.
You'll want to use it to promote your links (they are "clickable" right inside the chatroom).
The next thing you'll want to do is Make your profiles attractive, and inviting...but still have promotions everywhere (without looking too much like a salesperson).
I think I may have achieved that -- please take a look at my profiles, and just try to make yours similar:
Click Here For ROB'S MYSPACE PROFILE
Click Here For ROB'S TAGGED PROFILE
Click Here For ROB'S MYYEARBOOK PROFILE
You'll notice that I don't have my Yuwie banners in myyearbook...
They got wise to the BestSocialSite.com, so I just now post my clickable referral link in my chatroom.
Friendster is a bit tricky...
You need to know the person's name or email to add them directly (in most cases), or you send them a message asking them to add you.
Also, I can't figure out how to browse *everyone* on the site...only the newest people show up.
I DID notice, however, that there's a message below your photo when you first log on that says; "Who's viewed me?"
This got me thinking...
All I needed to do was post my banners on my profile, and then I clicked Search.
Since you can search for names, I just put the name Joe in the box -- I got a list of people!
So...
I clicked on the first Joe, saw his profile, clicked on a friend of Joe's, saw HIS profile, clicked on one of his friends...etc.
When I got tired of Joe #1 and his friends, I moved on to Joe#2...and so on.
Now all these people will get a notice in their "Who's viewed me?", and out of curiosity (I hope) will click on my picture to see who I am.
When they arrive at my profile, they'll see the banners.
(whew!)
Now, Facebook...
The only way to promote your referral links is to send your friends messages.
So, just write them a message with the "text only" version of your referral link included.
(No Banners!)
I also promote Yuwie, and actually everything in this blog using traffic exchanges.
Since traffic exchanges don't allow sound, I created a Youtube video to promote Yuwie as well.
You can see it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-jJ5HkyRO8
What I do with traffic exchanges is, I put my blogs, and the youtube link as the sites I want people to see (in my sites), and also create banners that I'd want to pop up with my referral links in them as well.
(Note: only 2 of these traffic exchanges allowed the youtube link.)
I then click "surf", and I build up points by looking at other people's sites (who are using the traffic exchange).
Most of them are 1 for 1, which means for every one site I see, someone will see mine.
You can create banners for free using this site:
http://www.mybannermaker.com/
Make sure they're the 468X60 size.
Here are the referral links for my traffic exchanges:
(when you join, please also copy your referral links, and paste them in your text document)

OK, one last site that pays you for just sending referrals to them:
I joined this not too long ago, and have been promoting the link on Tagged.
I'm not sure if the banner I created for it isn't appealing, or if people just aren't interested.
I'm going to keep it there as my reputation builds, and hopefully it'll get more attention in the future.
For now, though, it would be good for you to sign up and start promoting however you feel would be best.
(if you find a way that works, please leave me, and everyone else who reads this a comment).
Here's my referral link:
http://www.hyperlinkcash.com/?ref=robconn
OK, that should do it!
Now, make sure you message each of your new friends and ask them to check out your profile page.
Tell them how Yuwie is family friendly, how fun it is, and how many great people you've met.
Also tell them to click on the video banner to see what Yuwie is all about --- (let the video tell them about the money making aspect, otherwise they may be too turned off to even pay your profile a visit).
Don't message all of them at once, otherwise you'll have a lot of responses the next day, and may get too bogged down.
Do it alphabetically, or find some other system that works for you.
The very last thing you need to do...and the most important thing, is BE ACTIVE on Yuwie and Platinum Lounge.
Potential referrals need to see that you have the friends you say you have...they need to see tons of comments on your page to know you're getting page views (On Yuwie), and they need to be confident that it's every bit as fun as you've said!
So, add friends on Yuwie using the BROWSE button on the top right hand side, and keep adding until your fingers hurt!
Then send comments to your new friends....RELIGIOUSLY...so you'll have return visits to your profile page.
Write interesting blogs, upload photos, put a music player or chatroom in your shoutbox....just don't make your Yuwie page look like a sales brochure.
Yuwie users are trying to make friends and money with YUWIE...and too many banner ads makes people less likely to re-visit your page, since they'll doubt your "true" friendship.
On Platinum Lounge, it's a bit different.
You don't make money by receiving page views.
You make money by gaining points from your OWN activity.
So, send messages to friends, play their lottery games, etc., participate in discussions, and bring in referrals!
Hmmm...
I feel as if I may be forgetting something, but when or if it comes to me, I'll include it here.
Have fun, and make money!
